
Jaewon Peter Chun
Jaewon Peter Chun is President of World Smart Cities Forum (WSCF) with 10-year experience of smart city masterplan including London, Ukraine, Vietnam, and South Korea. In particular, he designed a master plan of 6-billion USD South Korea national smart city pilot project as a master planner in 2018. Later, he signed a mandate agreement with the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine (Currently, Ministry of Restoration of Ukraine) on establishing the national smart city projects in Ukraine in 2021.
After the war broke out in Ukraine, he and WSCF launched ‘The Global TWIN CITIES Initiative’, a single mega project involving 21 metropolitan cities with the goal of ‘building a new Ukraine’ at the OXYGREN Summit in Liverpool in July 2023. The Global TWIN CITIES can create a network of the global metropolitan cities that can work together to develop and implement of the joint future city projects and will have a huge impact on Ukraine’s reconstruction by replicating the proven solutions and infrastructures from the joint project carried out by the participating cities in the post-war Ukraine.
In addition, Mr. Chun has 15-year experiences in fostering 300+ tech startups in London and New York as a founder and CEO of XnTREE. XnTREE is a tech accelerator and investor in smart city projects and located in London and New York.
